Privacy policy
This explains what we collect, why, and what you can make us do about it. It is written to be read.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
- When you email us: whatever is in the email, kept with your order so the next person to answer you has the context.
- When you browse: the usual technical information a website receives — pages visited, device type, approximate location from your IP address — plus cookies, which you control below.
Why we are allowed to
To perform the contract when you order; on the basis of legitimate interests to run and protect the shop and answer you; on the basis of legal obligation for tax and accounting records; and on the basis of consent for marketing email and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else sees it
Our ecommerce platform (Shopify), our payment processor, the carrier that delivers your parcel, our email provider, and analytics and advertising services where you have consented to them. Each of them acts on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Order records for six years, because tax law requires it. Marketing consent until you withdraw it. Support emails for two years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to loominouscontact@gmail.com and we will act within one month. If you are in the UK and not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk; elsewhere, to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep your basket and your session working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you accept them, and you can change your mind from the cookie banner or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.
Marketing
We only email you about offers if you asked us to. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Children
This shop is not intended for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
